AL-KHALIL (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) issued demolition notices on Wednesday for over 30 Palestinian-owned stores and commercial facilities in the town of al-Ramadin, south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, the targeted stores are located at the entrance of al-Ramadin and along the main road linking it to ad-Dhahiriya town. The businesses form a vital commercial strip that serves as the primary and sole source of income for dozens of families in the area.
This latest round of demolition notices follows a similar operation in December 2024, when the IOF razed more than 40 stores and forced their owners to evacuate them. Residents fear this new wave of destruction is part of a broader campaign to economically strangle Palestinian communities and pave the way for settler expansion.
This development comes amid Israel’s large-scale ethnic cleansing campaign in the West Bank, which include home demolitions, land grabs, and systematic efforts to displace Palestinian families from their areas.
