GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has condemned the horrific crime carried out by the Israeli occupation army against the home of Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, Director of the Indonesian Hospital, which led to his martyrdom along with his wife and five of their children.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Movement asserted that “the occupation army continues its deliberate targeting and destruction of the healthcare system, and the assassination of its staff, doctors, and paramedics in unprecedented atrocities in modern times.”
Hamas emphasized the urgent need for action to halt the occupation, put an end to its heinous violations, and bring its leaders to international courts to hold them accountable for their crimes against humanity.
Dr. Al-Sultan was one of the most prominent doctors operating in northern Gaza, playing a crucial role in managing the Indonesian Hospital, which served as the first line of defense in receiving those injured by Israeli attacks, especially during recent escalations.
This crime comes amid the ongoing targeting of the healthcare system in Gaza, which is facing a severe collapse due to the continuous blockade, destruction of hospitals, and systematic assassination and targeting of medical personnel, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.
