NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Extremist Jewish settlers have established two new illegal outposts on swaths of land belonging to the town of Aqraba in southern Nablus as part of ongoing Israeli efforts to expand settlement activity in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported on Thursday that the first outpost was set up in the Khirbet at-Tawil area in the east of the town, where settlers placed several mobile homes and tents and embarked on leveling and bulldozing the area around them.
The second outpost was set up in the southern area of Aqraba on swaths of agricultural land owned by Palestinian citizens.
The Israeli occupation government has accelerated settlement construction in recent years, but since the start of its genocidal war on Gaza, it has escalated house demolitions and land seizures across the occupied Palestinian territories, displacing scores of Palestinians families.
