Palestinian injured in settler attack in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A young man was injured on Thursday in an attack carried out by Israeli settlers on agricultural land south of Bethlehem, while other settlers assaulted the village of Al-Farisiyah in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources reported that a young man sustained injuries and bruises after settlers from the “Gush Etzion” settlement, built on Palestinian land south of Bethlehem, assaulted him by beating him.

The sources added that settlers attacked a worker from the town of Sa’ir, north of al-Khalil, while he was working south of Bethlehem. They beat him severely, causing bruises and wounds that required hospitalization in Bethlehem.

In a separate incident, a settler attacked the village of Al-Farisiyah in the northern Jordan Valley and carried out provocative acts.

According to local sources, a settler from the “Rotem” settlement attacked the Ahmir area in Al-Farisiyah village, roaming among the residents’ tents and carrying out provocative acts, including pouring out water from tanks used for livestock and stealing animal feed.

The village of Al-Farisiyah faces daily settler assaults, including attacks on residents’ homes, acts of intimidation, chasing them off grazing lands, and attacking or stealing their livestock.
