WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens, assaulted others, and stole money during raids in the West Bank on Monday.
According to local sources, the IOF raided homes in Marda village in Salfit province at dawn and kidnaped two citizens.
In Ramallah, the IOF kidnaped two young men following raids on homes in the villages of Ramon and Ein Arik.
In Jenin, Israeli soldiers savagely assaulted and searched a young man as he was walking in a street in Ya’bad town and then stole 5,000 shekels he was carrying.
The IOF also broke into and ransacked several homes in Ya’bad town and stole 3,500 shekels from the house of Mahmoud al-Kilani as well as 1,000 shekels and gold jewelry from the house of his sister, Basima.
In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed the eastern area of the city and kidnaped a citizen from his home.
In al-Khalil, the IOF kidnaped three citizens from Halhul town and another one from Sa’ir town.
A number of citizens were also detained for a while and severely beaten during the IOF raids on homes in al-Khalil.
The IOF also set up several checkpoints at the entrance of al-Khalil City, its towns, villages and refugee camps, and closed a number of main and side roads with barriers, mounds of dirt or concrete blocks.
