Extremist settlers expand their illegal outpost in southern al-Khalil

AL-KHALIL,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) A horde of extremist Jewish settlers started on Wednesday to expand their illegal outpost in southern al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.

Activist Osama Makhamra said that a group of settlers started carrying out construction works in an old Jordanian army camp in the “Khashm al-Daraj” area in the east of Yatta City after they seized the site more than two years ago and turned it into a colonial outpost.

In a separate incident, a group of settlers conducted a provocative tour around the homes of the Siddat al-Tha’la hamlet in Masafer Yatta.

Local sources said that settlers placed Israeli flags in the middle of the hamlet and threatened to displace the local residents from the area soon.
