GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Dr. Mohamed Abu Salmiya, director of Al-Shifa Hospital, has affirmed that the hospitals in the Gaza Strip have come to a standstill after all medical, fuel and food supplies ran out, describing the situation as “catastrophic.”
“The medical crews are working under inhumane conditions and in the absence of basic life and care needs,” Abu Salmiya said in press remarks on Monday.
“Doctors and medical staff feel deeply abandoned by the international community, particularly by Arab and Islamic countries that have forsaken Gaza in in its most desperate moments,” Abu Salmiya added.
He called for necessarily opening Gaza’s crossings and allowing in medical and humanitarian aid to save the remaining souls in Gaza.
“Gaza is facing systematic genocide, marked by a deadly combination of killing, starvation, and relentless bombing — all unfolding in full view of the world without any effective action,” he said.
