AL-KHALIL,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed a young Palestinian man on Friday evening near the illegal “Shama” settlement, built on the lands of al-Dhahiriya and al-Samu’, south of Al-Khalil.
Local sources reported that the young man was shot dead by occupation soldiers, who later declared the area a closed military zone and heavily deployed their forces.
In a separate incident, the IOF opened fire on a young man in the village of Dar Salah, east of Bethlehem. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, a 25-year-old man was shot in the foot with live ammunition in the Wadi al-Hums area. He received first aid on the scene before being transferred to hospital for further treatment.
Additionally, IOF arrested a young man from the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, claiming he was attempting to carry out a stabbing operation. The arrest coincided with gunfire by occupation soldiers at the western entrance of the town, further escalating tension in the area.
These incidents come amid a broader campaign of intensified violence by the IOF across the West Bank.
