AL-KHALIL,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian young man was killed, and another was injured on Monday evening in a settler attack on the village of Umm Al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhmara said that the settlers assaulted residents while they were present on their lands and near their homes in the village, opening fire on them.
This led to one resident being shot and subsequently taken by the Israeli occupation to an unknown location, while another was beaten and transported by Red Crescent paramedics to Yatta Governmental Hospital.
Makhmara condemned the settler attack backed by the Israeli forces, describing them as part of a systematic campaign to seize Palestinian lands and expand settlement outposts in villages and hamlets south of al-Khalil.
