OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) started on Sunday to build a new settler road on large swaths of annexed Palestinian land in Hizma town, northeast of Jerusalem, amid tight security and military protection.
This step follows an Israeli decision made on June 25, 2025 to seize vast tracts of land stretching from the main road leading to Jaba town to the Aqabat area, in addition to adjacent areas. The land grab plan in this area is scheduled to continue until the end of December 2027.
“This project aims to impose new faits accomplis on the ground and change the region’s landscape as part of a systematic policy designed to expand settlements and Judaize the city, actions that flagrantly defy UN resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334,” the Jerusalem governor’s office said in a statement on Sunday.
In a separate incident, a horde of extremist Jewish settlers seized and fenced a new swath of land near homes of Bedouins in al-Farisiya area of the northern Jordan Valley.
Local sources said that settlers set up metal markers and deployed barbed wire near Bedouin families’ tents in al-Farisiya area.
For several months, Jewish settlers have been systematically seizing and fencing off large areas of agricultural and grazing land in the northern Jordan Valley, gradually preventing local farmers and shepherds from accessing hundreds of dunums of land near their homes
