BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Lebanese man was martyred in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon early Thursday, marking the latest violation of last year’s ceasefire, local media reported.
The attack struck a motorcycle in Deir Siryan town, critically injuring the rider who later died, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) said.
This incident occurred just hours after another Israeli drone strike targeted a car in the al-Housh area east of Tyre late Wednesday, injuring at least seven people.
Local sources identified the martyr as Salim al-Khatib.
The Israeli occupation forces continue to target towns, cars and motorcycles in different areas of southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement that started on November 27, 2025.
Under the agreement, Israel was to withdraw all its forces from southern Lebanon, but despite the deal, these forces have remained at five Lebanese border positions.
