WEST BANK ,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped on Wednesday evening Palestinian photojournalist Muaad Amarneh as he was traveling on the road between Bethlehem and al-Khalil in the West Bank.
Journalist Amarneh, a resident of al-Dheisha refugee camp in Bethlehem, lost his left eye in 2019 after being shot by Israeli forces while covering events in Surif town, northwest of al-Khalil.
On October 16, 2023, the IOF kidnaped him before an Israeli military court ordered his detention administratively, with no indictment. He was later released on July 9, 2024 after spending nine months in jail.
In a separate incident, Israeli special forces stormed different neighborhoods of Ramallah City and kidnaped a young man from al-Masyoun street.
