NEGEV, (Palestine Foundation Information Center ) The Israeli authorities demolished seven Palestinian houses on Tuesday in the unrecognized village of Qasr al-Sir in the Negev area, south of 1948 occupied Palestine.
According to local sources, Israeli police forces cordoned off the area where the houses were located as bulldozers embarked on demolishing them.
About 1,550 Palestinian citizens live in Qasr al-Sir village. The Israeli authorities had already demolished 60 homes and agricultural structures in the village in recent months.
More than 200 homes are expected to be demolished in the coming weeks after an Israeli court ordered the evacuation of the village.
