Journalist Islam Abed killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza

GAZA,(The Palestinian Information Center)Journalist Islam Abed was killed on Sunday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting Gaza City.

The “Al-Quds Today” satellite channel announced, “We mourn colleague, journalist Islam Muhareb Abed, who was killed in a treacherous Israeli strike on Gaza City this evening.”

The channel affirmed its unwavering commitment to the message of resistance media, declaring, “The Israeli killing machine will not succeed in silencing our voice, the voice of the Palestinian people.”

With the martyrdom of Islam Abed, the number of journalists killed in Gaza has now reached 247 since the start of Israel’s war on October 7, 2023. In addition, hundreds have been wounded or arrested, and numerous media offices and institutions have been targeted or destroyed.
