GAZA, (The Palestinian Information Center) The Hamas Movement has strongly condemned the Israeli aggression on Yemen, which targeted the governorates of Sanaa and Al-Jawf, resulting in a number of civilian casualties.
In a statement issued Wednesday evening, Hamas described the attack as a blatant violation of international law and an assault on Yemen’s sovereignty, calling it part of the escalating Israeli recklessness in the region.
The Movement expressed its full solidarity with the people of Yemen, and praised their steadfastness and the resolve of the Yemeni armed forces, particularly their ongoing support for the Palestinian people in Gaza, amidst a relentless genocidal campaign against the besieged enclave.
Hamas also urged Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the international community and its institutions, to fulfill their responsibilities in confronting Israeli aggression, holding Israeli leaders accountable for war crimes, and acting swiftly to end the occupation’s brutal assault on the Palestinian people and its ongoing threats to regional security and stability.
Sources affiliated with Ansar Allah reported on Wednesday that dozens of Yemeni civilians, including journalists, were killed and wounded in the Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa and Al-Jawf.
The military spokesperson for Ansar Allah denied Israeli claims of targeting missile launch platforms, adding that Yemeni air defenses had responded to the Israeli aircraft that carried out the strikes, and confirmed that the majority of the attacks were successfully thwarted.
