BEIRUT, (The Palestinian Information Center) Israeli occupation forces have carried out seven new assaults targeting Lebanese civilians and their property in southern Lebanon since early Sunday morning, continuing to violate the ceasefire agreement.
According to the official Lebanese National News Agency, Israeli drones launched two missiles at a civilian vehicle between the towns of Touline and Borj Qalaouiyeh, resulting in injuries at the scene.
Later on Sunday evening, an Israeli airstrike targeted another civilian vehicle between Touline and Qalaouiyeh, killing one Lebanese citizen and injuring several others, including children. The victim was identified as a resident of Majdal Selm.
Civil Defense teams from the Islamic Risala Scout Association worked to extinguish the fire that engulfed the targeted vehicle. Another nearby vehicle was also damaged in the strike, injuring other civilians.
The agency reported that shortly after midnight, an Israeli drone targeted a house in the Al-Kharza neighborhood of Aita al-Shaab, in the Bint Jbeil district. Another drone dropped a stun grenade on the town of Al-Dhahira, coinciding with gunfire on its outskirts.
In Ramiyeh, Israeli aircraft scattered nails across the streets, prompting the Lebanese Army to begin removal operations. A hostile drone also dropped a bomb targeting a bulldozer in the Bir Nasser area of Aitaroun, no injuries were reported.
An Israeli drone that had crashed was found in the border town of Houla in southern Lebanon. Drones were also seen flying at very low altitudes over several areas including Zahrani, Baysariyeh, Sarafand, Kherbeh, Babliyeh, Sakhnouniyeh, and surrounding villages.
Last Friday, one person was killed and two others injured in separate Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanese towns.
Israel continues to breach the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, launching strikes across southern and eastern Lebanon under the pretext of targeting weapons depots, infrastructure, and Hezbollah personnel. It still occupies five strategic hills in southern Lebanon seized during the last war.
In October 2023, Israel launched attacks on Lebanon that escalated into a full-scale war by September 2024. The conflict claimed over 4,000 lives and injured approximately 17,000 people before a ceasefire agreement was reached in November 2024.
