WEST BANK, (The Palestinian Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) prevented Palestinian students and teachers from going to their schools in the West Bank and Jerusalem on Monday morning.
According to media and local sources, Israeli forces prevented buses from transporting students from Shuafat refugee camp in northern Jerusalem to their schools.
The sources said that hundreds of students from Shuafat were held up in the morning at the entrance of the camp, where there is an IOF checkpoint.
In Tubas, Israeli forces at the Hamra and Tayasir checkpoints barred hundreds of teachers from reaching their schools. They also prevented buses from picking up students in the Bedouin areas of the northern Jordan Valley.
The director of education in Tubas reported that dozens of students from Bedouin hamlets were waiting for their buses on main roads to transport them to their schools.
In eastern Nablus, Israeli soldiers intercepted students in Rujeib village as they were heading for their schools in the morning and forced them to stand by the roadside.
Meanwhile, the IOF closed the main entrance of Turmus Ayya town in northern Ramallah, which obstructed the movement of thousands of citizens.
