BEIRUT, (The Palestinian Information Center) The Israeli occupation launched a wave of airstrikes targeting the town of Meiss El Jabal in the Marjayoun district of southern Lebanon, just an hour after issuing evacuation warnings to local residents.
According to Lebanese sources, Israeli warplanes struck a residential house in Meiss El Jabal and also bombed the town of Debbin in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military confirmed that it had initiated a new wave of attacks against alleged Hezbollah military targets in Lebanon. Later in the evening, Israeli forces issued fresh evacuation orders for the towns of Al-Shuhabiya and Bourj Qalaouiyeh in the south.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah by carrying out repeated airstrikes across various regions in southern and eastern Lebanon. These attacks are often justified as targeting weapons depots, infrastructure, and Hezbollah operatives, all while Israel maintains control over five strategic hilltops seized during the recent Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
Israel’s aggression on Lebanon began in October 2023 and escalated into a full-scale war by September 2024. Over the course of this war, more than 4,000 people were killed and around 17,000 others were wounded before a ceasefire agreement was reached in November 2024.
