BEIRUT, (The Palestinian Information Center) The Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, said on Friday that Israel has reached the “peak of criminality and savagery, violating all human, legal, international, and human rights norms, with full support from the United States.”
Qassem warned that the entire region is at a dangerous crossroads, pointing out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly declared his intention to establish “Greater Israel” and reshape the Middle East.
He added that the situation after Israel’s strike in Qatar is not the same as before, emphasizing the need to confront Israel’s expansionist threat through unified resistance, alongside supportive governments and peoples.
“We must reverse the narrative, Israel is the danger, not the resistance.”
Qassem also asserted that the resistance’s weapons are solely directed at “the Israeli enemy” and not against Lebanon or any other party in the world.
He pointed out that the United States provides no real assistance to Lebanon, instead applying pressure in favor of its ally, Israel, and called on Lebanese citizens to unite in expelling the occupation and rebuilding the country.
He concluded by affirming, “The resistance is ready to fulfill its duty alongside the Lebanese army. Whatever your decision is, we are with you, but in confronting the Israeli enemy.”
The Israeli occupation forces continue to target homes, cars and motorcycles in different areas of southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement that started on November 27, 2025.
Under the agreement, Israel was to withdraw all its forces from southern Lebanon, but despite the deal, these forces have remained at five Lebanese border positions.
