A harsh night in Central Gaza amid Israel’s intensive air raids

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The central governorate in Gaza experienced a difficult night on Thursday, marked by intense airstrikes that resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of citizens. According to the PIC correspondent, central Gaza faced a bloody night, with four members of the Salman family killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in Deir al-Balah.

Furthermore, four members of the Al-Dairawi family were killed when their home in Al-Zawayda was targeted. Our correspondent also confirmed that nine citizens were killed in an attack on the Abu Labda family home in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp. Furthermore, four citizens were reported killed in an airstrike on a house in Al-Nuseirat. Colleague journalist Omar Al-Dairawi was also killed in an airstrike in central Gaza.

The scene in the hospital was painful and overwhelming, with grieving families mourning their martyr sons, shedding tears of sorrow at the loss of their loved ones. Citizens in the central governorate confirmed that last night was one of the harshest nights in a long time, attributing it to Israel’s ongoing policy of random killings.

Mohammad Salman, a relative of the martyrs from the Salman family, told our correspondent that the massacre committed against his relatives was horrific. He pointed out that the occupation kills civilians mercilessly and has been committing genocide in Gaza for the past 15 months. He emphasized that civilians are the targets of the Israeli Nazi occupation, which fails against the resistance and unleashes its anger on civilian homes.

Residents in the central governorate expressed their deep concern over the intensity of the bombardment, as the hours dragged painfully, with not a single hour passing without an airstrike here or there. It seems that the intensified bombing is aimed at increasing pressure on civilians and on political levels and negotiators.

Writer and journalist Abdul Rahman Younis confirmed that the Israeli bombardment and its intensification come as a pressure tactic on the Palestinian negotiator. He noted that the occupation seeks to break the Palestinian resistance stance and to gain further concessions from the resistance.

He explained that this policy will not succeed in breaking the Palestinian spirit, as the Palestinian people have paid heavy prices since the onset of the Al-Aqsa Flood, and the Palestinian negotiator will not let these lives be lost in vain.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army, supported by the United States and a number of European countries, has continued its aggression against Gaza, bombarding the surroundings of hospitals, buildings, towers, and the homes of Palestinian civilians, destroying them over the heads of their residents while preventing the entry of water, food, medicine, and fuel. This aggression has resulted in over 154,000 Palestinian martyrs and injured, most of whom are children and women, with more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters ever witnessed in the world.
