GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed, over the last hours, 16 massacres in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of at least 196 civilians and the injury of 499 others, the Palestinian Health Ministry revealed on Wednesday.
In a news conference, a spokesman for the health ministry, Ashraf al-Qudra pointed out that there are a large number of victims still being buried under the rubble of homes or lying on roads.
Spokesman Qudra told journalists that the death toll from Israeli attacks, which have been going on for 68 days, soared to 18,608 martyrs, while the number of the wounded climbed to 50,594.
The spokesman affirmed that the IOF continued to detain the Kamal Adwan Hospital medical staff, including the hospital director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlot and released some of them.
Shortly after their release, Israeli forces opened fire on those released, injuring five of them.
Qudra expressed concern over the fate of 12 infants in care units who were left on their own without milk or medical equipment.
He further added that the Israeli forces also tightened the siege on Al Awda Hospital, amid fears of Kamal Adwan Hospital scenario.
He also said that the patients and civilians inside the Al-Awda Hospital, which is under Israeli siege and attack, are deprived of water, food and electricity, while Israeli forces prevent the evacuation of any patients or wounded citizens to it.
