DAMASCUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A young Syrian man was injured on Friday by Israeli gunfire during a demonstration protesting against the Israeli military deployment in Daraa, southwest of the country.
Syrian sources affirmed that the young man was shot by Israeli soldiers who were stationed in the Al-Jazeera barracks west of the Maariyah village in Daraa Governorate.
Social media footage showed the moment a young man was injured, and his clothes stained with blood during the attack.
Israeli Channel 14 reported that the Israeli army shot a young Syrian man in a demonstration in western Syria, claiming that he posed a threat to Israeli soldiers.
Following the removal of the Syrian regime on December 8, the Israeli occupation forces took advantage of the withdrawal of the Syrian army from its positions adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan and advanced into Quneitra then to Daraa near the Jordanian-Syrian border to the south.
