GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Leader in the Hamas Movement, Musa Abu Marzouk, affirmed that until now, no concrete agreement has been reached and that the Israeli occupation has not accepted any of the mediators’ proposals.
“The Movement is negotiating seriously and responsibly, and has made major concessions to stop the aggression against our people,” stated Abu Marzouk in a press release on Tuesday.
He clarified that in response to US demands, Hamas lowered the number of prisoners and detainees to be exchanged, but Netanyahu persisted in his dishonesty and obstinacy in the face of the agreement.
He emphasized that every nation in the world—including the so-called “Israelis” themselves—supports the ceasefire, except for Netanyahu, who prioritized his interests over all others and persisted in misleading the prisoners’ families.
According to Abu Marzouk, Netanyahu is bombing Rafah under the guise of applying pressure on Hamas and is sending a powerless delegation to thwart the agreement.
“If Netanyahu truly wishes to protect the lives of the remaining detainees, he needs to approve the Qatari-Egyptian proposal,” he said.
Abu Marzouk emphasized that the occupation failed to accomplish any of the objectives it had set for the war in Gaza because it continued to lose more soldiers in every area where it encountered strong resistance.
Speaking about the Israeli seizure of the Rafah land crossing, Abu Marzouk declared: “Closing the Rafah crossing is a simple step compared to the Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip.”
