GAZA, (The Palestine Information Centre)Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk said that the West Bank is the real arena of struggle against the Israeli occupation.
In televised statements on Thursday, Abu Marzouk stressed the importance of confronting the occupation by all possible means to restore the rights of the Palestinian people.
He also stated that the Israeli occupation is seeking to expel the Palestinians from the West Bank, saying that the Palestinian presence should not be subjected to negotiation.
The Palestinian resistance must be activated, especially the armed resistance, he added.
Abu Marzouk pointed out that the Israeli occupation continues to reject the establishment of a Palestinian state, and seeks to resolve the West Bank conflict by planting two million settlers.
On the other hand, the Hamas official said that the Israeli occupation has divided the Aqsa Mosque temporally and is working to divide it spatially, calling on the Arab and Islamic nations to assume their responsibility for the holy site and Occupied Jerusalem.
The member of the Hamas political bureau stated that his Movement refuses to abandon Palestinian rights, stressing that Hamas is a real political actor in the Palestinian arena.
He further stressed that his group is opening up to Russia and China, in addition to all European countries.
He pointed out that the US administration is instigating against Hamas in the international arena, adding that some of the Palestinian Authority ambassadors are inciting against the Hamas Movement.
Abu Marzouk concluded by stressing the Palestinian people’s adherence to resistance, liberation, and the right of return.
