GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Abu Obeida, the spokesman for al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas Movement, has announced on Friday evening that seven Israeli captives were killed in the Israeli bombardment in the Gaza Strip.
He added in a press release that a number of al-Qassam fighters were martyred in the bombardment that killed those captives.
He identified three of the seven killed captives as: Haim Gershon Berry, Yoram Etak Metzger, and Amiram Israel Cooper. He added that the identity of the four others would be declared later.
Abu Obeida pointed out that the number of captives killed as a consequence of the Israeli army’s military operations in the Gaza Strip may now exceed 70 individuals.
The spokesman reiterated his armed wing’s longstanding commitment to preserving the lives of captives, but he charged that the Israeli leadership appeared to be intentionally targeting and killing its own captives in an attempt to evade this issue.
