RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas Movement said on Monday that the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the illegal settlement of Ofra, built on occupied Palestinian land northeast of Ramallah, underscores his extremist settler-colonial agenda and constitutes a blatant defiance of international will and the global consensus that condemns settlement construction and criminalizes attempts to legitimize it in the occupied West Bank.
In its statement, Hamas stressed that Netanyahu’s provocative visit serves as a fresh green light for further land grabs and for encouraging settler terrorism, including systematic attacks on Palestinian residents, their land, and their property.
The Movement warned of the grave danger posed by the occupation’s annexation and displacement schemes, aimed at taking full control over West Bank lands. Hamas affirmed that such plans will inevitably be met with intensified resistance and confrontation so long as the occupation persists in its aggression and crimes.
Hamas further called on the international community and all free people of the world to take urgent and effective action to halt these dangerous violations, and to adopt practical measures that compel the occupation government to stop its crimes and hold its leaders accountable for the ongoing massacres against the Palestinian people and their land.
