NABLUS, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)A Palestinian child was injured on Wednesday by Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) gunfire during a raid on Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg by the IOF during the raid on the camp.
Israeli special forces infiltrated Al-Souq Street, Al-Hashashin, Al-Jamassin, and Al-Kaabi neighborhoods in Balata camp, before additional occupation army reinforcements were deployed.
The IOF imposed a siege on the camp, closed its entrances, surrounded several homes amid the sound of gunfire, and detained hundreds of school students inside the camp.
Clashes out broke in southern Nablus after settlers, under IOF protection, stormed lands belonging to the town of Aqraba amid ongoing settler attacks.
Settlers also attacked olive pickers in the Qarqa area, south of Aqraba, and stole olive crops from lands in Burin, south of Nablus, near the Yitzhar settlement.
Settler groups intensify their assaults on Palestinian lands every year during the olive harvest season, committing violations against farmers and inflicting heavy losses on them.
