AL-KHALIL, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)Extremist Jewish settlers set fire to a Palestinian car and wreaked havoc on several olive trees in the Masafer Yatta area of southern al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank on Saturday morning.
According to local activist Osama Makhamra, settlers from the illegal settlement of Susya attacked the house of Yousef Shanaran in the Bedouin community of Wadi al-Rakhim near the Palestinian village of Susya and smashed its windows.
The settlers also set Shanaran’s car ablaze, completely destroying it.
Another group of settlers destroyed several olive saplings in the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta and grazed their livestock near the homes of local residents.
In northern Jericho, several armed settlers stormed the Shallal al-Auja Bedouin community and let their sheep graze near its homes.
Violations and crimes by Jewish settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank have surged to record levels since October 7, 2023, and have continued throughout 2024 and into 2025. The UN and human rights organizations, such as B’Tselem, report these attacks have led to casualties, mass displacement, and widespread property damage.
