DOHA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The head of Hamas’s negotiating delegation, Khalil al-Hayya, has appeared in a video message shared by the Palestinian Movement, his first appearance since Israel tried to assassinate him in a missile attack on Qatar.
A short video released by Hamas showed al-Hayya addressing the public, saying, “What I see every day of killing and destruction in Gaza makes me forget the pain of losing my children and loved ones.”
“Today, as we live in the shadow of both pain and dignity, having lost thousands of our people, women, children, and the elderly, the Almightly has honored us by counting among them our sons, grandsons, brothers, and relatives. We are part of this great family, the Palestinian people, especially the people of Gaza.”
The assassination attempt on September 9 when Israel launched air strikes targeting Hamas leaders in Qatar’s capital, Doha, as they were discussing a ceasefire proposal put forward by the US, killed al-Hayya’s office director, Jihad Labad, his son Homam al-Hayya, three aides, and a Qatari security officer.
