GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Hamas Movement said that the horrific Israeli massacre, which was committed on Thursday evening in western Gaza City, constitutes a new and brutal crime.
According to Hamas, this attack was carried out by the government of war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu in an attempt to derail the efforts of mediators and obstruct the progress of implementing a ceasefire agreement and ending the war on Gaza.
Hamas affirmed that the systematic massacres and crimes being committed by the Israeli occupation forces against unarmed civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, expose the true face of this bloodthirsty, abhorrent regime. It also reflects the insistence of its fascist government on pursuing a campaign of extermination until the very last moment.
Hamas called on mediators and the US administration to assume their responsibilities by condemning these atrocities and intervening immediately to compel Israel to halt targeting innocent children and defenseless civilians.
On Thursday evening, shortly before an expected announcement of a ceasefire agreement, the Israeli military committed another massacre, resulting in the death of many citizens in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City while many others went missing.
According to the Civil Defense, the Israeli military targeted a home belonging to the Ghabboun family on Al-Thalatheeni Street in Sabra, where more than 40 people are believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.
Additionally, a senior Hamas source told Al Jazeera on Thursday that the Movement categorically denies having held any direct meetings with the Israeli delegation during the recent negotiations in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh.
The source emphasized that all discussions in Sharm El Sheikh were conducted solely through mediators, with no direct contact or presence of the Israeli delegation.
The source added that negotiations over the lists of prisoners are still ongoing and that the mediators are making intensive efforts to finalize this issue in the coming hours.
He further noted that Hamas is engaged in national dialogue with other factions to unify their stance on the Israeli response to the proposed list of resistance prisoners.
This morning, Hamas submitted its final response to the mediators regarding the proposed timeline for implementing the agreement, including a specific date for the ceasefire to take effect.
