BEIRUT, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)A Lebanese citizen was martyred on Wednesday morning in a drone strike by the Israeli occupation forces targeting a motorcycle in southern Lebanon.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle on the old cemetery road in the town of Ain Qana, southern Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of its rider.
Lebanese media platforms identified the martyr as Issa Karbalai, who was killed in the drone strike that targeted his motorcycle in Ain Qana, located in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region of southern Lebanon.
The Israeli occupation army continues its near-daily attacks on Lebanese territory, causing martyrs and injuries in numerous towns in eastern and southern Lebanon. It claims these attacks target Hezbollah sites and personnel to prevent their rehabilitation.
In October 2023, Israel launched an assault on Lebanon that escalated into a full-scale war by September 2024, resulting in the martyrdom of over 4,000 people and injuring around 17,000 others.
Despite a ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, Israel has violated it more than 4,500 times, leading to hundreds of martyrs and wounded.
Defying the agreement, Israel continues to occupy five Lebanese hills seized during the recent war, in addition to other areas it has held for decades.
