DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Member of Hamas political bureau Ezzat Al-Resheq said on Tuesday, “The Israeli story about the assassination of Marwan Issa cannot be trusted, stressing that only Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has the final say on this regard.”
In a press statement, Al-Resheq stressed that “the timing of announcing the assassination of brother Marwan Issa, is aimed at covering up the crises facing Netanyahu and the failure of the Israeli occupation army to achieve its goals.”
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari claimed on Tuesday that the Israeli army had liquidated Hamas commander Marwan Issa along with Hamas weapons official, Ghazi Abu Tamaa.
Hagari said the operation that targeted Marwan Issa took place two weeks ago in Al-Nuseirat camp in coordination with the Shin Bet, adding that Marwan Issa is No. 3 figure in the armed wing of Hamas and one of the planners of the October 7 attack.
