GAZA,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) An infant from Gaza City died Thursday afternoon from severe malnutrition and hunger amid the ongoing Israeli blockade and military attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The new child fatality highlights the worsening humanitarian crisis affecting countless children as shortages of food and medicine continue to deepen.
Palestinian media sources in Gaza identified the infant as Zain al-Duraimili from Gaza City.
At least 67 have died of malnutrition and lack of medicine since the Israeli occupation regime started to impose its tight siege on war-ravaged Gaza.
Ten of those children have died since last March, while hundreds remain at risk of death due to the ongoing Israeli starvation campaign, according to Palestinian health officials in Gaza.
