Israel escalates its bloody attacks on Gaza as death toll hits 66k

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center )The Israeli occupation forces continued their campaign of genocide against the Gaza Strip for the 728th consecutive day, through aerial and artillery bombardments, killing starving and displaced civilians, backed by American political and military support and unprecedented international silence and failure.

According to the PIC correspondents, the Israeli military launched dozens of airstrikes and committed more massacres as displacement continues to impact over two million people amid severe famine. The intensified assault on Gaza City aims to depopulate and destroy it entirely.

Medical sources reported several civilians killed in Israeli attacks since early Friday morning, including many aid seekers, amid a tightened siege and Israel’s ongoing starvation war.

Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the arrival of one martyr and several injured victims following an Israeli drone strike in the Al-Mawasi area, southwest of Khan Yunis City.

Israeli artillery shelling also targeted the Al-Bureij and Al-Nuseirat refugee camps in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike in central Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, and launched a series of raids east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health strongly condemned the kidnapping of nurse Tasneem Marwan Al-Hams, the daughter of Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, who is currently held in Israeli prisons and serves as the director of Gaza’s field hospitals. She was abducted by a special Israeli unit on Thursday morning while heading to her medical station in Khan Yunis.

The ministry described the act as a blatant violation of humanitarian law and the protections afforded to healthcare workers.

It held Israel fully responsible for her safety and demanded disclosure of her whereabouts.

It also called on the international community to intervene urgently to halt such violations and protect healthcare workers and their families.

With full US support, Israel’s war of genocide has left, according to the ministry of health, at least 66,225 martyrs, 168,938 wounded, and over 9,000 missing. Hundreds have died from starvation, and more than two million Palestinians are living in forced displacement under catastrophic conditions.

Israel has deliberately turned children into targets, killing more than 20,000 children and 12,500 women, including 8,990 mothers. Over 1,000 infants have died, including 450 newborns who were born during the war and killed soon after, highlighting the fact that the most vulnerable populations have been systematically targeted by Israeli forces.
