AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian agricultural facilities in the village of Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil On Thursday evening. Other settlers chased residents and attempted to assault them in the town of Beit Ummar to the north.
Activist Osama Makhmara reported that a group of armed settlers from the settlement of Havat Ma’on and the outpost Eschar Aman, both built on Palestinian land, demolished two agricultural structures in the Khillet Awad area near Khirbet al-Tuwail in Masafer Yatta. The structures belonged to Ismail Makhmara and his son Hassan, and the settlers looted them along with the equipment inside.
In Beit Ummar, armed settlers attacked residents in the Khirbet al-Qat area south of the town, preventing them from reaching their land.
Local sources stated that settlers had seized part of the town’s land in that area about three days earlier, set up a mobile home, and brought herds of livestock there. This has raised fears among residents of the establishment of a new settlement outpost and the confiscation of hundreds of dunums of their land.
