AL-KHALIL (Palestine Foundation Information Center)Armed Israeli settlers stole more than 30 sheep early Friday morning during a raid on a Palestinian land in Masafar Yatta, located south of Al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, the settlers stormed the property of Ashraf Al-Amor in the village of Khirbet Al-Rakeez and looted his sheep under the cover of darkness.
Surveillance footage from the area captured the settlers infiltrating the sheep pen and carrying out the theft during the night.
Residents say such incidents have increased sharply since the beginning of Israel’s genocidal war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
Settler gangs have escalated their attacks to seize Palestinian-owned property in Masafar Yatta, resorting to violence and intimidation.
In recent months, similar thefts have been recorded in nearby areas, with settlers shooting at sheep, hurling stones, and vandalizing property.
These attacks come as part of a broader plan to drive Palestinian residents from their land to pave the way for more settlement expansion.
Masafar Yatta is one of several flash points in the West Bank where Palestinians face escalating pressure from both Israeli occupation forces and settler gangs.
