Violent Israeli raids across West Bank cities

WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and settlers stormed several cities and refugee camps across the West Bank, most notably Balata Camp east of Nablus, carrying out violent assaults, torching civilian vehicles and property, and conducting arrests.

Local sources confirmed that the IOF raided Balata Camp, deploying heavily throughout various neighborhoods, firing live bullets and stun grenades.

Israeli forces also launched widespread raids Thursday evening in various areas of the West Bank, storming homes, firing flares, and arresting two young men.

In Jenin, the IOF stormed the city center and arrested a young man. Another raid took place at a home in the town of Meithalun southeast of Jenin, and in Qabatiya to the south.

In Nablus, the IOF troops stormed the Askar and Balata refugee camps, spreading through their alleyways, and also entered the town of Al-Nasariyah east of the city, with no arrests reported.

On Thursday evening, the Israeli troops also raided the town of Hizma northeast of Occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers fired stun grenades and tear gas during the raid.

Local sources confirmed that the IOF stopped and searched several young men during the incursion, assaulting them physically, though no arrests were officially reported.

In Tulkarem, Israeli forces arrested a young man in the Wadi area of the town of Irtah. The IOF soldiers also fired illumination flares over the Noor Shams refugee camp east of the city.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces raided the towns of Al-Khader and Beit Fajjar, with military vehicles roaming the streets, though no arrests were reported.

Israeli forces also stormed Al-Far’a refugee camp in Tubas, raiding the Sarhan neighborhood, again with no arrests reported.

Cities, towns, and refugee camps across the West Bank are daily subjected to Israeli raids involving home invasions, clashes, interrogations, and arrests.

The Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian vehicles during their attack on the Al-Tell area in the town of Deir Dibwan east of Ramallah.

The Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council expressed sorrow over the settlers’ violations, saying that the burning and looting of Bedouin homes by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank was heartbreaking.

He emphasized that Israeli authorities never investigate settler violence, allowing them to act with total impunity.
