GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for the Hamas Movement, said that Israel’s escalation of killings and attacks in the Gaza Strip, including the latest strikes targeting police posts that resulted in the killing of several officers, constitutes a serious and blatant violation carried out under false pretexts.
In a statement on Friday, Qassem said the escalation against the Palestinian people demonstrates that the “criminal enemy” is disregarding all efforts to maintain calm in Gaza and continues to ignore calls for maintaining the ceasefire.
In the early hours of Friday, four people, including police officers, were killed and others injured when Israeli strikes targeted two Palestinian police posts in Khan Yunis and Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The attacks are part of ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement reached in October 2025.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health’s daily report issued Thursday, Israeli violations since the October 2025 ceasefire have left 618 killed and 1,663 injured.
