OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Hamas Movement stressed that Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are a red line, affirming that ongoing raids and incursions will not change the fact that Al-Aqsa is an exclusively Islamic holy site. The Movement emphasized that the Palestinian people remain steadfast in defending their rights and sacred sites by all legitimate means.
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas condemned the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, for leading groups of settlers in a provocative raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The action reflects the fascist mentality governing Israel’s government, deliberately violating the sanctity of Al-Aqsa and the feelings of Muslims worldwide.
The statement highlighted that the raid occurred on the 35th anniversary of the first Al-Aqsa massacre, carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on October 8, 1990, underscoring the continuity of aggression and repetition of past crimes.
Hamas emphasized that this raid is not a random event but an aggressive message aimed at enforcing temporal and spatial division of the holy Islamic site and consolidating Israeli control over Al-Aqsa compound as part of a broader Judaization project targeting Arab and Islamic presence in Jerusalem.
The Movement called on Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and in 1948 occupied Palestine to maintain a strong, continuous presence at Al-Aqsa to protect it from Israeli judaization schemes.
Hamas also urged Arab and Islamic states, along with international organizations, to fulfill their political, legal, and moral responsibilities in stopping this ongoing aggression.
