DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas Political Bureau member Husam Badran affirmed that there is nothing new regarding the ceasefire negotiations, stressing that the Israeli occupation is stalling by refusing to respond to the Palestinian demands.
“There is nothing new,” Badran told CNN, saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuses to respond to fair Palestinian demands regarding Gaza’s basic needs.
He listed “stopping the killing, withdrawal, providing relief, and the return of the displaced people without conditions” as factors to be considered.
There’s no scheduled date for resuming ceasefire and prisoner release talks in Cairo, he added.
The Hamas delegation left Cairo last week after talks made no significant progress.
