GAZA,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Global Sumud Flotilla coalition has announced preparations for the launch of the largest civilian Gaza-bound maritime mission to break the Israeli siege on the war-ravaged Palestinian territory.
According to the organizers on Monday, boats from around 44 countries will participate in the pro-Gaza mission to challenge the Israeli blockade, to voice condemnation for governments’ silence on what is happening in the Palestinian coastal enclave, and to demand urgent action to end the genocide and provide the population with their humanitarian needs.
US activists are involved in organizing this mission, coordinating efforts to prepare two boats bearing the American flag, as reported by Al Jazeera Net.
The organizers hope that this American involvement in the mission will have significant symbolic meaning, reflecting the widespread public anger in the country towards the Trump administration’s blind support for the Israeli siege and genocide in Gaza.
