WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Clashes and confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) after they stormed several areas in the Nablus Governorate early Friday.
In the Old City of Nablus, resistance fighters fired at IOF soldiers and detonated explosive devices at their army vehicles.
Eyewitnesses reported that armed clashes broke out between resistance fighters and the IOF during the storming of the Old City, noting that a military force was targeted with a hail of bullets at Al-Ghawi roundabout.
Last night, clashes also erupted between young men and the IOF that stormed the town of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus. Local sources revealed that the IOF arrested four young men during the storming of several homes in Sebastia.
In Ramallah, the IOF broke into the Jalazon refugee camp to the north of the city, and the town of Beitunia to the west.
The West Bank witnessed on Thursday evening Israel raids on several areas, during which resistance fighters confronted the IOF and a number of citizens were treated for breathing problems due to the intensive use of teargas by the invading IOF soldiers.
Israeli troops, escorted by several military vehicles, raided the towns of Anabta, east of Tulkarem, and Ellar, north of the governorate.
Resistance fighters managed to target an Israeli military vehicle with a locally-made explosive device during its storming of the town of Anabta.
In Bethlehem, clashes erupted in the town of Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem, while a number of citizens suffered breathing difficulty during the IOF storming of the town of Al-Khader, south of the governorate.
Local sources reported that the IOF stormed the town of Al-Khader and were stationed in several areas amidst firing of stun and tear gas grenades towards citizens’ homes and vehicles, which led to breathing problems among of a number of them.
The IOF also stormed several towns west of Ramallah governorate and set up military checkpoints on the roads.
Field sources explained that the IOF stormed the towns of Nilin and Budrus, west of Ramallah, and set up a checkpoint on the road to the villages of Kafr Na’ma and Ras Karkar.
A large force of the Israeli occupation army’s infantry stormed the town of Budrus, followed by military reinforcements and vehicles.
Resistance operations continued in the West Bank during the past 24 hours, with 16 recorded resistance operations against the IOF and settlers.
