Day 592: Key developments in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza

GAZA  (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation continued its campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip, now in its 64th day since the resumption of hostilities and 592 days since the start of the aggression—following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s withdrawal from the ceasefire agreement, backed by US political and military support and met with unprecedented silence and inaction from the international community.

According to PIC correspondents, Israeli forces launched dozens of airstrikes across the Strip amid the worsening impact of a blockade that has prevented the entry of essential food supplies since early March, creating an increasingly dire famine for Gaza’s residents.

Key Developments:

At least 54 Palestinians have been killed in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since dawn on Tuesday.

One person was killed in an Israeli strike on Al-Sikka Street in the Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast Gaza City.

Three more were martyred and several injured in a drone strike targeting the Al-Manara area east of Khan Yunis.

Multiple injuries were also reported in a separate Israeli drone attack on Ma’an area, east of Khan Yunis.

Ammar Abdo succumbed to injuries sustained two weeks ago in an Israeli strike near the Palmira intersection in Gaza City.

Israeli forces opened heavy fire on the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza.

Nine civilians were killed in an airstrike that targeted the Maqeid family home in Jabalia refugee camp, northern Gaza. Several victims remain trapped under the rubble as civil defense teams face major challenges reaching the site.

A pre-dawn airstrike hit Khan Yunis, while artillery shelling targeted the northern areas of Nuseirat camp, central Gaza.

Several civilians were injured when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced persons in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis.

Israeli forces also committed a new massacre by targeting the Musa bin Nusair School—which housed displaced families—in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza City. The school was hit by two drones, killing at least 10 people, many of whose bodies were burned beyond recognition, and wounding others.

Another massacre occurred when Israeli aircraft bombed the Rady gas station in western Nuseirat, which was also serving as a shelter for displaced families, killing 15 people.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued demolishing residential buildings in western Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

12 people were killed, and others wounded, in an Israeli airstrike that hit the Abu Samra family home in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

Another airstrike targeted a home near Najoum Station in Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.

Additional airstrikes struck a residential area south of Al-Anan Stadium in Deir al-Balah, and heavy aerial bombardment was reported over Abasan al-Kabira.

Four civilians, including two children, were killed in an Israeli strike on a group of people in Deir al-Balah.
