Day 595: Key developments in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Israeli occupation army continued on Friday its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, now in its 595th day since the beginning of the aggression. The offensive was reignited 67 days ago after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reneged on a ceasefire agreement, emboldened by American political and military support amid unprecedented international silence.

The PIC correspondents reported that Israeli forces launched dozens of airstrikes, while the effects of blocking the entry of basic food supplies since early March have escalated, painting a grim picture of the famine Gaza’s population is facing.

Key developments:

Medical sources confirmed that 16 Palestinians were martyred today due to Israeli airstrikes across Gaza.

Injuries were reported after an Israeli airstrike targeted a home near the University College in southern Gaza City.

Four civilians were martyred Friday morning in a drone strike by Israeli forces near Al-Mazra’a Street south of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

Two children were martyred and others injured in a strike on an apartment in Khan Yunis refugee camp: Heba Naif Ghazi Abu Akar and Mohammed Naif Ghazi Abu Akar.

In another massacre, six aid convoy security personnel were martyred in an Israeli strike on Deir al-Balah. Victims included: Mouayyad Issa Baraka, Jabr Hassan Baraka, Wissam Khalil Abu Samra, Mahmoud Nassar, and Mahmoud Mohammed Hammouda. Ambulances were then targeted directly as they attempted to evacuate the wounded.

Several children from the Abu Akar family were martyred in an airstrike on their home in Khan Yunis.

Six martyrs and several wounded or missing in a strike on the Dardouna family’s home in Jabalia, north Gaza. Victims included: Yasser Saeed Dardouna (60), Huda Mustafa Dardouna, Musab Mohammed Dardouna, Hamdi Yasser Dardouna.

19 martyrs were confirmed in southern Gaza since Thursday dawn. Victims include: Mohammed Fawzi Mohammed Al-Najjar, Adnan Mohammed Fawzi Al-Najjar, Majed Mohammed Salman Al-Amour, Mohammed Suleiman Abu Qweider, Tareq Mohammed Hamdan Al-Bayouk, and Rahaf Munir Al-Aydi.

Yahya Mustafa Al-Abadla was martyred in a drone strike on Salah al-Din Street, Khan Yunis. Fatima Hassan Yassin Al-Najjar (38) was martyred in a strike in Al-Mawasi. Fadi Adnan Hussein was killed in a tent strike. Mohammed Youssef Al-Bayouk, a child, succumbed to injuries from an earlier airstrike.

Civil Defense teams retrieved the bodies of Marah Ziyad Fujo and Salim Mohammed Salim Abdeen from the Qizan Al-Najjar area.

Two martyrs, including the child Mohammed Walid Hassan Abu Deqqa, were reported in another strike on a tent west of Khan Yunis.

In central Gaza, 25 martyrs have been reported since Thursday dawn. Ten were killed in a strike on a displaced persons’ shelter near Al-Baraka water tank, Deir al-Balah. Victims include members of the Abu Al-Hussain family: Ahmed, Sham, Mohammed, Bisan, Hana, Saba, Ghassan, Moaz, Maisara, and Amna.

Abdullah Saleh Hassouna, 41, was martyred, and four others were injured (three children and a girl), in a strike on a home near Sayyid Qutb Mosque in Al-Nuseirat.

Abd Nawaf Abu Hazeen was killed, and seven were wounded in a drone strike in Al-Nuseirat. Marwan Ayash succumbed to wounds from a previous strike on his home in Al-Zawaida.

Mohammed Adel Al-Dabbaji was martyred in a strike on a tent for displaced persons near Al-Salah charity, west of Deir al-Balah.

Dr. Zakaria Ibrahim Al-Sinwar, the brother of late Hamas leader Yehya Al-Sinwar, succumbed to injuries from a previous strike on his tent above his destroyed home, joining his wife and children in martyrdom.

Nine martyrs in Gaza City since Thursday dawn, including five from a strike on the Bakheet family home on Ahmad Yassin Street, Al-Saftawi area.

Death toll rises

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported Thursday that hospitals received 107 martyrs and 247 wounded in the past 24 hours due to the ongoing Israeli genocide campaign, bringing the cumulative toll over the past 19 months to 175,959 killed and injured.

Since the war resumed on March 18, 2025, 3,613 martyrs and 10,156 wounded have been documented.

Since October 7, 2023, total casualties stand at 53,762 martyrs and 122,197 injuries.
