Jeddah (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has strongly condemned Israel’s recognition of the so-called ‘Somaliland’, calling the move illegal and in violation of international law. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressing the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Senator Dar described Israel’s action as a dangerous precedent with serious implications for peace and security in Africa and beyond.
Highlighting Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, he reiterated support for the establishment of a free, contiguous, and sovereign State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
He also urged the OIC to accelerate efforts regarding Jammu and Kashmir and ensure that the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people is fully realized, in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and their legitimate aspirations.
