GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces have continued their renewed assault on the Gaza Strip for the twelfth consecutive day, carrying out further airstrikes and artillery shelling as part of an ongoing campaign marked by widespread destruction, civilian casualties, and systematic violations of international law.
According to medical sources, at least 22 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded in Israeli attacks across the Strip since the early hours of Saturday.
Israeli warplanes launched fresh air raids on northern Gaza, while artillery units carried out heavy shelling in the east of Khan Yunis and towards the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City.
In addition, Israeli ground forces detonated several residential homes in the western part of Rafah, continuing their policy of punitive demolition and collective punishment.
One Palestinian was killed, and seven others injured after an air strike targeted a home in the town of al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis.
These attacks come amid a broader campaign of mass violence that has persisted since 7 October 2023, with Israeli forces accused of deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in what rights organizations and international experts have described as crimes against humanity and potential acts of genocide.
The continued destruction of residential areas, coupled with the killing and displacement of civilians, reinforces growing calls for urgent international intervention to halt the onslaught and ensure accountability for the escalating atrocities committed in Gaza.
