OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque on Thursday morning, performing Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli police forces, amid growing Palestinian calls for mass presence and intensified vigil at the Mosque.
According to Jerusalemite sources, 67 settlers forced their way into the Aqsa compound during the morning incursions, openly performing Talmudic rituals and provocative tours within its courtyards.
Israeli forces tightened their military measures in the streets of Occupied Jerusalem, around the Old City, and at its gates to secure the settlers’ raids, while simultaneously restricting access for local residents and worshipers.
Last month witnessed a surge in Israeli violations and attacks on the Aqsa Mosque. The Palestine Information Center “Ma’ta” documented 408 violations by the Israeli forces and settlers in Occupied Jerusalem during October alone.
