OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre) Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem, via the Maghariba Gate, under heavy police protection on Tuesday morning.
The Islamic Endowments Department affirmed that scores of settlers entered the Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals in the Bab Al-Rahma area.
During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.
Earlier, Israeli police forces were deployed in the Aqsa courtyard before allowing the settler groups to storm it through the Maghariba Gate.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police prevented Palestinian worshipers from entering the holy site.
The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and afternoon, except on Fridays and Saturdays.
