BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), One person was killed and others were injured on Friday following an Israeli drone strike near a house in the town of Sidiqin, Tyre District, in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military claimed in a statement that the strike targeted a Hezbollah member. However, Lebanese sources identified the targeted individual as Sheikh Kamel Nasreddine from the town of Ramadiyeh.
The attack is part of Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024, which ended over a year of fighting between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.
In related developments, Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has documented 2,036 Israeli violations during the last three months of 2025. The ministry called for Israel to be held accountable and to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which mandates a ceasefire and was reaffirmed in November 2024.
