Iraq (Palestine Foundation Information Center) In a series of operations targeting Israeli occupation sites, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched drone attacks on positions in the occupied Golan Heights and northern Palestine. The strikes, conducted over a single night, reflect the group’s ongoing efforts to counter Israeli occupation and express solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
The first strike, conducted around 4:42 am, hit a strategic location in the northern occupied territories near Tiberius. Shortly after, at 4:08 am, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for another strike on a site in northern occupied Palestine.
Later, the Resistance carried out a drone attack on a significant Israeli position in the Jordan Valley within the occupied Syrian Golan. This was followed by two additional strikes on unspecified “critical targets” in the north of the occupied territories.
In a statement, the Resistance group explained that these operations were part of their religious duty and a response to the ongoing civilian casualties in Gaza and Lebanon attributed to Israeli forces. The group pledged to continue “escalating operations against enemy strongholds” in the ongoing conflict.
The strikes are part of the group’s declared commitment to a “unity of battlefields” strategy, demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese people. The group stated the attacks were a direct response to the recent violence inflicted by Israeli forces on civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
